Julia Pankhurst

Based on the south coast and living just two minutes walk from the sea, Julia Pankhurst has a deep love of the outdoors, spending her spare time in the sea or in the New Forest, which is also on her doorstep. Nowhere is Julia’s appreciation for nature and the outdoors more evident than in her collection of characterful animal portraits which never fails to captivate the viewer. Whether a curious highland cow or a regal stag, she always captures the character and energy in her own realistic, bold and vivid style and pallet of vibrant colours. Art was an obvious path for Julia from a young age, and after Art school she spent days drawing portraits on high streets. However, art took a back seat until 2010 when Julia started painting seriously again. She now works full-time painting and running her gallery
