Lars van de Goor

Dutch landscape photographer Lars van de Goor was born in 1964 on a houseboat in the middle of verdant farmland. Here, he grew up practically part of the nature that surrounded him. Lars started his career as a musician but later found a passion for photography, both linked by composition. While influenced by the Dutch Masters, Lars’ main source of inspiration is the trees of his beloved Gelderland. Lars depicts the tree's ancient power and timeless energy, and their interaction with the famous Dutch light to yield remarkable landscapes, often eerie in their otherworldliness. In September 2017 Lars and his wife exchanged their home in Lochem, the Netherlands, for a mobile one in which they travel through Europe to explore new and inspiring places.
